Italian Artisans – Glass blowers of Murano

I recently ventured to the beautiful island of Murano to meet and photograph master glass blowers and discover the intriguing and secretive world of this fascinating, ancient craft.

Here is a snippet from the article for Italianicious magazine and you can also read the article online here.

If you are planning a trip to Venice, I highly recommend a short ferry ride to the picturesque island to visit the historic glass blowing furnaces and museums and watch the master craftsman in action creating their incredible works of art.

More importantly, be sure to support the local artisans and their craft by purchasing authentic Muranese glass as opposed to the inferior imported glass.
