This time last year I embarked on a massive assignment for Lonely Planet, photographing chefs and cooks from all regions of Italy and their favourite local dishes.
The results of which have now been published in the recently released cookbook series – ‘From the Source – Authentic recipes from the people who know them the best’.
‘Italy From the Source’ was a dream project creatively for me, photographing some 60 culinary masters, in their kitchens, restaurants and local markets, in some of the most spectacular locations across the country.
What an experience!
I have a new found appreciation and respect for the culture of food in Italy and the amazing people who contribute generations of knowledge, expertise, and passion to the cucina Italiana – From the dedicated and hard working producers that deliver the finest quality ingredients to the restaurant tables, to the maestros in their kitchens, working long hours perfecting their gastronomic creations.
Here is a taster of some of the pages and recipes, including Michelin star chefs; Massimo Bottura, Enrico Crippa, Cristina Bowerman, Norbert Niederkofler, Matteo Baronetto, Tony Lo Coco and Vito Mollica (to name a few).
Thanks to all of the chefs who artfully contributed to this book and made for an unforgettable creative journey for me.
